This first half 20th century European (French or Russian) Chain Stitch carpet measures 11’6” X 12’0” (253 x 386 cm). It is a perfect condition carpet completely covered in giant flower blossoms in pink, red, gold, green, lavender, and peach. This rug would be fantastic in any room especially a living room or a solarium. It was surely custom made.
This last quarter 19th century Laver Kerman measures 4’3” X 6’7”. It has a prayer motif on a café au lait ground containing a tree of life with birds sitting in a row of branches extending half way down the rug and coming to rest in the center of a large floral decoration containing two large birds at its base
This circa 1880 Camel Hair Hamadan (Serab) Runner measures 3’5” X 12’10”. This design is the Persian garden design or rose design which is almost always found in Bakhtiari rugs but this time has found its way onto a Hamadan. The design is very nicely drawn with repeated roses in many shades of red on a blue ground all encompassed
This 1st half 20th century Amritsar Carpet from India measures 14’4” X 20’3”. This rug is unbelievable. It has an absolutely gigantic hunting scene. The aubergine field is covered in men on horses with bows, arrows, swords and falcons all out chasing lunch which is composed of various deer, antelope, elams, birds and a weirdly drawn phoenix bird or dragon. This circa 1900 Peking Chinese Oriental Rug measures 9’2” X 11’7” (280 x 356 cm). This rug is simply delicious. It has a mahogany colored field framed with a dark bamboo colored minor border with blue specks. Outside of this minor border are twirling leafs and flowers in three shades of blue, sparkling ivory, yellow and peach. The large flowers
