Well-known knotting masters in our partner factories ensure a consistently high quality through targeted cooperation with the dyeing plants and the wool and silk producers. The most talented pattern makers accomplish true masterpieces of design that are then crafted into the finished carpet through years of work by highly trained professionals. Genuine Persian Tabriz carpets impress with their extremely dense knotting density of up to 2,000,000 knots per square meter and the extreme tear resistance of the natural silk product, which is used as the warp material on such fine carpets.
It can be said without exaggeration that the most popular carpets in the world are produced in Tabriz. The variety of designs is impressive. From the traditional floral Medallion Carpet, about elaborate figural images, the popular tree motifs, to modern geometric designs, everything is represented. In Iran’s domestic market, the high-quality Tabriz carpet has the highest demand and the best reputation in addition to the silk carpets from Qom.
Tabriz carpets are available in all popular formats such as 90 x 60 cm, 130 x 80 cm, 150 x 100 cm, 200 x 150 cm, 240 x 170 cm, 300 x 200 cm, 300 x 250 cm, 350 x 250 cm as well as runners. Oversizes can also be knotted. Designs: Floral, usually with medallion. Worked in great detail. Equally common patterns are prayer rugs with a dome and tree of life, hunting motifs, figural carpets and pictures. One differentiates between floral patterned carpets called “Nachshe” and small-patterned carpets with the name “Mahi”.
